Gwendolyne Hats

Gwendolyne (Lezlie) and William Preboy have been at 401 Richmond for 17 years, since the building was taken over by the Zeidler family in 1994. They are celebrating 20 years in business this year. William says they were very fortunate to be one of the first businesses to get a spot at 401. There is a three-year waiting list for tenants anticipating a coveted studio in the building. William is glad that in addition to artists, businesses have been established with the aim of aiding people. For example, the Hilditch Architect organization places emphasis on projects that support those marginalized in society. Gwendolyne Hats exemplifies the uniqueness of the building with their one-of-a-kind pieces and refreshing outlook on the hat and accessories industry.
